Local Link Tipperary provides regular bus routes and door-to-door transport across the county of Tipperary. As part of the Transport for Ireland (TFI) network, we serve the communities of County Tipperary by providing reliable and accessible transportation options.

 

Our Services 

We have 65+ services and routes operating in Tipperary, including:

  • Regular Rural Services (RRS): Scheduled fixed timetable bus routes that connect towns, villages, and rural areas. 

  • Door-to-Door Services: Semi-flexible routes that can provide pick-up and drop-off at your home. Pre-booking is required by calling the office (0504 39310) at least 1 day before travel. (This service is also known as Demand Responsive Transport; DRT.)

  • Clonmel Town Services: Regular town service bus that connects the town of Clonmel.

I meet some of my old friends from school days and many new friends – especially since my husband died. I get mass every Tuesday at 11am in Tipperary Town, which is great. I usually get the Local Link bus twice a week, although I seem to be using it more often now, after they added new services to get my shopping done. The service is brilliant and cheap, and they even accept the travel pass which I’ll hopefully get in a couple of years.

I’m very happy with my bus service. I get to do the post, do a bit of shopping, have lunch with my brother and his wife in town and visit some old friends who can’t get out very much. I love the fun on the bus and the stories that I hear from the other passengers. You’ll always hear something going on that you didn’t know about. The drivers are very friendly and always helpful.
